Just a line re your query. 'Tae Lane' was the local name for O'Connell Street since demolished. It was a street beside the bonded warehouse and ran from (south of) the canal to Kilbride Street which was formerly Barrack Street. Pearce Park (sic)  is a housing estate nearby and is at the end of Kilbride Street.
