« on: Monday 11 August 14 12:09 BST (UK) »
Hi, I am researching my grt grandfather Napoleon Bonaparte SUTTON, on his death certificate it states he committed suicide by hanging in july 1861 in the Hulme district.
I have 2 questions would their be any inquest or newspaper reports regarding the death & how would I find the graveyard where he is buried.

kind regards

Hi Frank

A warm welcome to Rootschat!

I have had a quick look on the Manchester Council burials site but can't see an entry for Napoleon.

There seems to be a connection to the cathedral in Manchester as that is where William Bagguley Sutton their sons was baptised in 1829 and  John Baguly Sutton in 1837, Peter in 1835 and Sarah in 1835 too as well as Barbara in 1840. Joseph Henry bap in Christ Church, Manchester 1844. Sarah  his daughter was married in 1851 in Choriton-Upon-Medlock, Lancashire.

His parents Peter and Sara were cousins and he was baptised in St Georges Manchester
