Thanks Brian

Is anyone else having problems with two of them?  The two security framework things KB2937610 and KB2943357 will not upload despite numerous attempts.  Managed with no problem the other 9.

The .net framework security update for Windows 7 did seem to hang for a long while but it did eventually install itself.  It seemed to install faster on Windows 8.1 for some unknown reason.

Windows 7 - 15 updates (a couple optional) = 174.9mb
Windows 8.1 - 16 updates (2 optional) = 388.7mb

If you like watching paint dry then one of the optional updates for Windows 8.1 is kb2975719 at 171mb.

I also have a free trial of Norton anti virus and that had an update file size of 255.33mb!

It looks like I am protected from everything except the ebola virus!

Hi downside

All I can say is that you must be a lot more patient than me.  I have left them downloading now for nearly an hour and it still says downloading 2 updates: 0 kb total, 0% complete.  I'll leave it all day and see how far it gets!!

Hi Kerry

It sounds like you a connection problem because the Microsoft website is very busy.  I managed to download the updates without any problem but as I mentioned when you actually install that specific security update for .Net framework 3.5.1 (or whatever it is called) it seems to just sit there doing nothing for a very long time but it turns out that it is doing something in the background and eventually it installs itself.

It has now finally changed and is now installing update 1 of 2 so something is happening.  I'm just going to leave it to do its thing!  ;D
