Page 48 to see the only photo iv'e found so far of the end of the seafront we are interested in close up. Looking west across the boating lake so post 1935. Directly above the upraised paddle is the building thought to be in the original post.

ADDED: My parents married in 1936 & had their first child in 1939. I realise that although I have labelled this as ca 1938 it could easily have been taken up to 4 years before. I don't know when they met - I assume ca 1934. My mother's left hand is not visible to see what ring(s) she was wearing.

Could it be Bexhill?   There is the 30's De La Ware Pavillion there which then had a restaurant and Palm Court entertainment etc.
