1861 Census William Dawes
« on: Thursday 28 August 14 07:17 BST (UK) »
Hi
Hoping someone can help.  I have a William DAWES (b circa 1826 in Bickerton, Yorkshire) on the 1871 census.  He is living with his wife Maria (b1837), son Thomas E (aged 11), son Robert I (aged 9), son James H (aged 6), son Brooks M (aged 2) and daughter Mary A (aged 2 months).
The family are living in Wheldrake in 1871 and William is an agricultural labourer.
I'm unable to find William on the 1861 census or any earlier.
Grateful for any pointers.
Mike
