Harriet Josling, 21 b Whitechapel, is in Hastings in 1861 as a niece of James and Harriet Nabbs. RG9/561/55/20.

In 1851 they are in Hastings as Knabbs & she is likely to be the niece with them enumerated as Isabella Knabbs, 12 b London. HO107/1635/588/61.

James' wife Harriet Nabbs/Knabbs is shown as b abt 1810 Ipswich so she may be the connection.

This could be the reason the family are scattered in 1851

Death
Jan/Feb/Mar 1842
Bethnal Green
Sarah Josling

If Isaac then died in 1848 they would be orphaned
Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex

Isabella was on 1841 census, age 3. So the death of Sarah in 1842 was later.

Are we looking at the right family then? Was the 1841 census I found the correct family?  When was your Harriet Isabella born then?  (Not seeing any death for the Isabella from 1841 census)

There are two deaths for Isaac Joslings - one in Whitechapel in  Oct/Nov/Dec1848 as you have mentioned (ref 2.  489) but also one in Oct/Nov/Dec1842, also Whitechapel (ref 2  249)
Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex
