Is anyone able to help me decipher this part of my ancestor's service record. He was Henry A Cranney of Hartlepool.
Surnames:- Johnson, Dawkins, Crutchley, Tiplady, Cranney, Laybourn, Rough.

Areas:- Hartlepool, Cleveland, Co. Durham, Cumberland, Westmoreland, Yorkshire, Bedfordshire

Discharged having made a something about his age on enlistment - misinformation?  Presume he claimed to be older than he was.

You can see on the document that his age on attesting was 16 7/12 16yrs 7months

That makes some things more clear. Can any of you read what it says in the middle, above were it says aged 16 7/12.

I agree with Ady, looks like absent from 20 4 1916.
It is quite possible he went absent without leave and the following month May he was discharged under Kings Regs as being under age .
