Private Fredrick Morris   Enlisted  9/8/1916.   He joined the 7th Battalion which was formed at the Ballarat Showgrounds.   He was 18yrs and 10 months old.   He next of kin was his sister   Alice Morris of Coventry Street, South Melbourne. He departed Melbourne on the 27/5/1916 aboard the HMAT Ascanius A11.   He was shot in the abdomen and left arm and died on the 3/11/1916  in the back of the ambulance enroute to the 39th Battalion Casualty Clearing Station.  He is buried at Heilly Station Cemetery  Mericourt-LAbbe.   Grave no IV.H.64.
