Hi Bev,

I have already posted information (on this thead) from various official resources including electoral rolls re the surname DOOLAN in the years that births are indexed under both the surname DOOLAN and RILEY and with mum as Madge, and no father's given name on the online index.

do you have any info on mr doolan ?
bev

Please confirm YES/NO ... do you have Doreen's birth certificate.

If YES, where on that document is the surname DOOLAN mentioned, and what information did the informant provide re 'previous issue' of the marriage at Emmaville.
OR
If NO, then may I suggest you order an official transcription of Doreen's NSW birth certificate.  https://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/familyhistory#Oraskatranscriptionagent

I think you are saying that Doreen's birth certificate tells you that Madge was born a DOOLAN and became a RILEY when she married at St Pauls church, Emmaville and that Frederick and Cecilia LEWIS  were present at Doreen's birth.

Can you confirm that?

So from that birth certificate only ... what other information does it tell you?

These are the headings:

Date and place of birth of child

Name and whether present or not

Father's name, occupation, age and birthplace

Date and place of marriage - previous issue

Mother's name and maiden surname, age and birthplace

Informant

Witness

Particulars of registration

Name if added after Registration of birth.

JUST please be patient....   :)

so from Doreen's birth cert, what are some of the family history details that we can learn about Doreen's mum ....  for example :

Mother's name and maiden surname, age and birthplace
