*COMPLETED* Milwich
« on: Saturday 13 September 14 00:08 BST (UK) »
Hi all

Just wanting to know, how close is Milwich to Marston?  And does St Mary Parish sit between them?
Tried looking for maps, but nothing really showing me what I wanted

According to Genuki, Marston is in the parish of St Mary
"Marston township and chapelry (to Stafford, St Mary) contains about 40 scattered houses, 178 souls, and 1300 acres of strong loamy land, three miles N of Stafford. The whole belongs to the Earl of Harrowby, except 125 acres allotted to the parishoners of Stafford, at the enclosure in 1800.
The principal inhabitants are George Goodwin, shoemaker, Sus. Goodwin, schoolmistress, and the following farmers; William Cliff, Thomas Greensmith, Peter Lowe, Charles Morris of Portfields, and Simon Myatt of Enson Moor."

That's wonderful Chrissie.

I was trying to map my family.  I found early records for Marston (1700's), but knew all the family came from St Mary in the early 1800's, and were shoe makers and Ag Labs.  I had no idea where Marston was.
So it was a part of St Mary.
