Elizabeth Rawson d 1767
« on: Tuesday 16 September 14 17:38 BST (UK) »
Elizabeth Elner b 1695 in Radford; died in 1767 in Basford a widow having become Elizabeth Rawson.

It's likely, though not guaranteed, that she married in Nottinghamshire. The family had connections with many of the little towns/villages on the northwest side of Nottingham town. However I can't find anything for her marriage on the Notts FHS CDs. Of course Mr Rawson may not have been her first husband which doesn't help!

But anyway - can anyone think of how I can find the first name of her husband Mr Rawson? and their marriage details?

many thanks :)

Possible -- Job Rawson -- there are 3 baptisms in Basford to Job and Elizabeth Rawson  1719-1726.

Ancestry suggests a marriage between Job Rawson and Elizabeth "Eller" in Bulwell in 1718 (no scan available, exact date not given). This isn't on the Notts FHS CD either.

Does anyone have any access to the fiches to have a look at this please?

Hi,

The reason you couldn't find it on the disc's is that Job had a dot next to his name:
Job. Rawson and Elizabeth Eller married on the 22 April 1718 at St Mary's Church Bullwell.  I can have a look at the marriage for you next time I'm in Nottingham Archives sometime over the next week or two.

Job: Rawson was buried on 20 Sept 1742 Basford St Leodegarius notes says he was a household.
