Canty - Bandon, Cork 1790s

By 1841, Michael Canty and his wife Mary were living in Thornbury, Gloucestershire. Michael's place of birth is 'Cork' around 1798, Mary was born in 'Bandon, Cork' abt.1799. Their marriage date and place is not known, but a daughter (Ann) is thought to have been born in abt.1820.

Also in Thornbury was Ann Jackson (b.abt 1794 Bandon, Cork), described as 'sister, widow' so presumably her maiden name was Canty.

The family were Catholic.
