Maisie Henneberry New Ross
« on: Wednesday 24 September 14 10:40 BST (UK) »
Hello,

Is there a birth record for Maisie Henneberry of New Ross, Wexford whos Father may or may not have been James Henneberry also born in New Ross. I am unable to find birth or death records for either of these people, any tips?
Thanks

We aren't allowed to post personal details such as email addresses so you'll need to either remove the attachment or alter it.

The online Irish civil registration index goes up to 1958 so you can search there for the details need to order the birth certificate. However, bear in mind that Maisie may be a nickname and the registration will appear under the child's 'proper' name.

Have you found the family in the 1911 census yet?

Hello,
I have cropped the attachment to remove email details etc, thanks for letting me know.
I have found possibly the right family in the 1911 census, James and Bridgets ages seem to be right, as does their Son James aged 6, but there are 2 Daughters which I'd not heard of before, while the ones I have heard of are not listed.
Do you know what Maisie would be a nickname for? Thanks for the link to the Irish Civil Registration Index that is very helpful.

Maisie is a pet name for Margaret who could be Maggie in 1911.

Presumably this is the 1911 census that you refer to LINK
I would have thought Maisie to be Mary before Margaret

There is a 1903 marriage in the Civil Records
New Ross Q4 Oct-Dec Volume 4 Page 340
of James HENNEBERRY to Bridget MORAN
Kearney & Bourke/ Johns & Fox/ Mannion & Finan/ Donohoe & Curley
Byrne [Carthy], Keeffe/ Germaine, Butler/ McDermott, Giblin/ Lally, Dolan
Toole, Doran; Dowling, Grogan/ Reilly, Burke; Warren, Kidd [Lawless]/ Smith, Scally; Mangan, Rodgers/ Fahy, Calday; Staunton, Miller
Further generations:
Brophy Coleman Eathorn(e) Fahy Fitzpatrick Geraghty Haverty Keane Keogh Nowlan Rowe Walder

Based on the names given and the census return there are several New Ross births that may be of interest

Elizabeth HENEBERRY New Ross 1905 Q1 V4 P591
James HENEBERRY New Ross 1905 Q4 V4 P582
Patrick HENEBERRY New Ross 1906 Q2 V4 P603 Possible Death 1907 Q3 V4 P413 aged 0
Mary HENNEBERRY New Ross 1908 Q4 V4 P574
Joseph HENEBERRY New Ross 1911 Q2 V4 P587
Mary Bridget HENEBERRY New Ross 1911 Q2 V4 P586 possibly Bridie
Kathleen M HENNEBERRY Carrick-on-Suir 1919 Q4 V4 P363

I did not see a logical possibility for Dorothy

Maisie is more often a nickname for Mary although I did have a relative whose proper name was May.

If parents were James & Bridget is this not the family in 1911?

Added- see that you've another topic for the family here and already have some of the details posted  :-\
