Kings Cross Wesleyan Chapel Halifax graveyard plans
« on: Saturday 04 October 14 00:47 BST (UK) »
Does anyone have access to the graveyard plans for the Kings Cross Wesleyan Chapel in Halifax?

My ancestors Walter (died 1927) and Emma Walsh (died 1924) are in plot i26 but I have heard the graveyard is very extensive so any help to narrow down my search would be gratefully received. Are there any records to tell me if there is a headstone as I do not live locally.

I should mention the grave was first used in february 1881 when their 2 year old son, also named Walter Walsh was buried.

Heres hoping
Sara

Hi all,
I have found the grave site for Sarah, sadly there is no marker stone, although I have sent her pictures of the site and area.

Hi, I'm planning a visit to the area in the summer,  I've a few names buried in the Kings Cross Wesleyan Graveyard among them, Briers with a plot no. G19,  and a few other names.  Is there a layout of plots available?

thanks

Janette

Hi Jasmi,
Sorry for being so late in replying to your question.
The graveyard has maps of a sort, the graveyard is set out in sections, some have plenty of information including grave plot numbers and landmarks.
The plot G19 is in the oldest part of the graveyard and I have found the location.
it is easy to find, although I have not walked to the spot to look for a marker.
ON my map of the graveyard the name is Brear does this ring a bell for you?
Regards,
Andy
