Imperial prisoners of war 1943
« on: Sunday 05 October 14 21:30 BST (UK) »
I have been looking at my family ancestors on the forces war records, and came across a name of JP Meugens, who was a prisoner of war in Italy, 1943...but i can't find any trace of him on the family tree. Does anyone have any insight into who this person is please???

do you know what country he was born in ??
are you sure it is J.P.Meugens and not J.R Meugens
found a marriage and children for John R Meugens - married 1939 Marylebone,London- first child 1941 next child 1946 - so looks like he was away in the war a fair while
http://en.geneanet.org/search/?name=meugens&ressource=arbre
looks like originally a surname from Belgium
oakes,liverpool..neston..backford..poulton cum spittal(bebington)middlewich,cheshire......   sacht,helgoland  .......merrick,herefordshire adams,shropshire...tipping..ellis..  jones,garston,liverpool..hartley.dunham massey..barker. salford
