Hello

Matilda Kilfoil nee Tubb was born in 1839 and married Henry Kilfoil in Birmingham in 1859.

She is on the 1891 census in Chester

Daughter   Emily Kilfoil   16

However she is absent from the 1901 and Henry is a widower, meaning she has died

However I cannot find a death record on free bmd, when did she die?

Nothing seems to be coming up. She never had a second name. It was always Matilda

There is only one Kilfoil death in Chester between 1891-1901 and the age is almost a match to the birthyear you give

Its a bit strange that Matilda would use the name Hannah. She was never born with the name as far as I know. Could be a second name, but no record of such a name exist

She uses the name Matilda when all the children are baptised. All 3, Emily, Henry and Richard were baptised on the same day 27th January 1878.
