Perhaps Elizabeth nee Turner is the Elizabeth Arminger aged 33 who died 8.4.1830 & was buried 18.4.1830 at Southwark (Wesleyan) Chapel.

There is a baptism of a Henry Arminger  5/10/1828 at St. Edmund, Norwich with father Robert and mother Elizabeth listed on LDS.

The first Elizabeth died in 1830.

I thought Robert died in Brighton?

I thought Robert died in Brighton?

Yes, absolutely right - sorry.  He had two addresses at the time, a London and a Brighton one but died at 44 North St, Brighton.

I also see the 1828 baptism in Norwich:

So perhaps Henry was born in Reading (as he always stated in the censuses) but the baptism took place in his father's native place of Norwich for some reason.

The Norfolk Chronicle of 27 June 1829 contained an insolvency notice concerning:

"Robert Arminger, formerly of Reading, in Berkshire, Dyer, afterwards of Fishgate Street, in the city of Norwich, Victualler, and late of St James' Street, in the said city, unemployed (sued by the name of Robert Baker Arminger)."

So that does support the idea that he had moved from Reading to Norwich, possibly between Henry's birth and Henry's baptism.

Robert Baker Arminger)."

The name is interesting.  I had never seen the middle name of Baker before.

You're not invisible, jim1, don't worry :)

We had Robert's 1868 death at reply #7, and also his 1831 marriage to Elizabeth Butcher Bassett who was the Elizabeth Butcher Arminger who survived him.

Julie may not have seen the 1766 baptism as I didn't see it first time around - had you added it by way of amendment?  Or maybe my eyes need checking! Looks interesting I agree.

Sorry Jim

I didn't see your comment.  Every time I try to reply someone has added a comment.  I don't like to complain, but you are all working too fast!  ;D
