Canadian Passenger List Liverpool to Halifax Nova Scotia arriving 28 January 1912 on the Canada - Alfred W Harris aged 24 years. Pattern maker and Ethel Harris aged 22 years. Alfred states he had been in Montreal for 2 1/2 years from 1909. Ethel had not been in Canada previously. They were marked as returning Canadians going to Toronto.

You marvel Sandra  :) ;) He went back to marry his sweetheart on 15/1/12 and then returned with her to Canada.

Most of your other info looks superb too.

Hiram George Horsfield served with the Cameron Highlanders as a Colour Sgt and was discharged in Perth in 1913. A search of ScotlandsPeople  brings up 1 result in 1911 for Hiram Horsfield and another for Alice Horsfield  in the free search. I don't have any credits as I have no Scottish connections so you will need to purchase some if you want to check it out.

Have now read the Service Record which confirms Alice S Harris father Peter Richard as a witness to their marriage.
4 children listed : Charles William 1904 Fort George, Ellen Constance 1905 Arbour Hill , Henry Albert 1907 Inverness , Ella May 1907 Auldearn

Thanks CB53
Am I being thick, where are the Service Records ?
