John Ricketts
« on: Saturday 18 October 14 02:08 BST (UK) »
This is believed to be John Ricketts of Haddenham Buks 1801-1879, our g g grandfather.  It would be appreciated if some restorative work would breathe some life into out ancestor!

Regards

Yes, we have Jen.  Originally I only wanted to get an estimate of the date of the photo, but now I am interested in seeing if it can be restored.

Cheers
Pat

I awoke this morning to these beautiful restorations .... a huge thank you to both Terry and Carol ... your skills will never cease to amaze me!

Terry, I just love the sepia effect and the framing of the pics ... I had not even given sepia a thought, but I can see now, I would have missed out if you had not come along!

Carol, thank you for bringing my attention to character in the sitter's face ... I can now appreciate it as well, however, not before your restoration.  I also love the "special effect framing" of the second one - apart from anything else, it has removed the clutter on the floor of the picture which I find so distracting!

Again, many thanks ... your time and efforts much appreciated.

Pat
