Charles Frederick Gibbons
« on: Wednesday 22 October 14 16:00 BST (UK) »
I am searching for the death of Charles Frederick Gibbons who disappeared from his home in Loughborough, Leics between the dates 1928-1931.  His granddaughter is desperate to know where his life ended.  He married Hannah Locker in 1908 and they had 10 children.  He was also a member of the Salvation Army.  If anyone has any information whatsoever about Charles it would be very much appreciated.  Thank you.  SuSp

There's this Death:

Charles Frederick Gibbons b 30 Jul 1895 death registered Jun 1975 age 79 Louth
Volume:    7 Page:    1849

But without a DOB, it's impossible to tell if it's the correct one.

Have you contacted the Salvation Army to see whether they have any further records of him

According to his discharge papers, dated 25 Dec 1915, he was 29y4m old, so he's most likely the one b. Q3 1886 in Henley RegDistrict, isn't he*?

What is your point MargP?

There are several people of this name on the Search Sites, but the DOB is needed before seeing which one is correct.

I was merely trying to assist.

Hi, Romilly, I am sorry,  I had posted the wrong information, and deleted my post, I was just pointing out that the dates of birth can be wrong on the death certificates,, as this information is only as good as the informants knowledge, then I noticed he was born in 1886 so not the correct death, that will teach me not to jump the gun
