Are you sure its not just the way it gets displayed on ancestry, having pulled the data from familysearch? It probably refers to Mary his daughter rather than Mary his spouse. Unfortunately the search of the Select records pulled from familysearch doesn't always work very well and often can appear with missing information in some views but not others?
I tried searching on Henderson's name on ancestry but nothing shows, which doesn't surprise me as there can be anomalies in their search results when someone else searches the same details. Did the entry you saw show any other information such as film number of page number? If yes, try comparing with a search against Mary his daughter or her husband to see if its the same reference, because if it is, then it refers to her marriage and not his.
