Does anyone have access to NSW SR Reel number 933. I am seeking the TOL for Elizabeth Smith who arrived per 'Earl Of Liverpool' on 20 October 1826.
NSw SR ref 39/1157 Reel 933 Goulburn.

Are you sure you have the correct Elizabeth SMITH?
The above was tried 2 Feb 1829 & transported on the Earl of Liverpool arriving 5 April 1831.
Her ToL 39/1157 was issued 1 Jul 1839. The number 39 specifies the year it was issued.

You are correct.
She was on a bond when she was granted permission to marry George Noble in 1834 at Parramatta.
too many Elizabeth Smiths, back to the beginning I think.

George NOBLE age 23yrs m. Elizabeth SMITH age 23yrs 16 April 1834 St. John's, PARRAMATTA #V18341105 18

And Permission to Marry:

George NOBLE 23yrs, Born colony, Free - Elizabeth SMITH 23yrs, Earl of Liverpool, 7yrs, Bond, 1834, Rev. Marsden, Parramatta.

So,  just to be clear on this,   she got off the ship,  went to Parramatta,  and got married in ten days ??   Fast work !

And doesn't the banns process take three weeks ?    Or does the permission to marry circumvent that ?

She arrived in 1831 & married in 1834.

Hi Merlin,  Have you tried the sites "Convicts and felons" and "Convict Stockade". The first can be accessed via google and "Convict Stockade" as well, although you may need to register (free).
