Slight tangent question to this thread: where was the industrial school in Adelaide/SA prior to the Magill one opening?
I am Australian, from all the lands I come (my ancestors, at least!)

Pine/Pyne, Dowdeswell, Kempster, Sando/Sandoe/Sandow, Nancarrow, Hounslow, Youatt, Richardson, Jarmyn, Oxlade, Coad, Kelsey, Crampton, Lindner, Pittaway, and too many others to name.
Devon, Dorset, Gloucs, Cornwall, Warwickshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire, Wilts, Germany, Sweden, and of course London, to name a few.

Names are available on GenSA website.

Not all the information is on the website unless one pays for further information.  Many of us own resources which have more information.

A point you made earlier in the thread.
The question asked was "....are there any more children born to Thomas and Eliza?" I responded that there were ten in total. All of their names and their years of birth and registration districts are available on the GenSA website and that information is available for free. That may well be adequate for some researchers. If not there are other avenues that can be pursued.

Your post doesn't make sense.   I did not ask about any children's births...why would I as I have my own resources.

Members of rootschat provide FREE research which includes using their own resources.

....but not for me.

Yes there are other avenues and this forum is one of them and it is good genealogy practice to include Districts, Book and Page numbers of registrations when transcribing South Australian data to the board.

There are links for FREE South Australian resources on the South Australian Resources board.

Ruskie this is good evidence Martha Elizabeth CHAPMAN aka MORRIS was James Edwin's mother.  I would suggest that Victoria should have described him as her half brother. His birth was registered as James John not James Edwin.

Nobody said you did. It was Ruskie who asked and to whom I replied.

Good idea and we can proceed with helping Ruskie with her requests.
