Marriage of Catherine Jennie Williams and Joseph in Holyhead

Hello,

I'm looking for the marriage of my great aunt Catherine Jennie Williams (b.1898 Penlynbach, Llanynghenedl).  I have been told she married Joseph (an engineer) who was a lodger at her mothers house in Holyhead.  They originally lived in Holyhead, then Birkenhead, where she gave birth to at least one of her three children, and finally ended up in Coventry.  I believe two of her children were called Eunice and Glyn.

I know the Jennie is not the same as Jane but I did look at all the Catherine J Williams versus Joseph on freebmduk and on Cheshire BMD and that twas the only one matching........ it could be off base but....Williams is mightly popular...... and something might twig with Nicholls name in your family ....

Births Sept quarter of 1929    Nicholls  Hazel A  [Williams]  Birkenhead  8a 736a

Births Sept quarter of  1933   NICHOLLS  Joseph G  [Williams]  Birkenhead  8a 658

and cheshire bmd explains the latter certificate reference as>
"NICHOLLS Joseph Glyn Birkenhead Wirral [WILLIAMS] ref number >BIR/339/85 "

so that may be the answer you are looking for

so maybe those fit in or not.... its really hard to determine without some other facts.....

Can u scratch around within your info, photos or relatives and see if anything else comes to light to assist you make a determination before you make purchases or add to the family tree..... But I have gone on basically what is said in the post on locations ..... I am not sure which way you would travel from here and other rootschatterers may have some more info but its the best I can offer.....

Joseph Herbert Nicholls Registered as born 1898  Jul-Aug-Sep at Holyhead  Anglesey  11b 525
with a 2nd entry for Royal Naval Reserve
Birth Date:30 Aug 1898  Birth Place: Holyhead, Anglesey
Date 1908-1955  Service number TS 8023

and Joseph H Nicholls Birth abt 1900 Registered June quarter of 1967 Aged 67  at West Bromwich Staffordshire 9b 790
but I would check death certs for Joseph H for other entries  and I would leave open options for the scope of the naval reserve file as he may have served in WWII and died  so a quick check of CWGC may be worthy......   I might also add the Naval reserve file is eight pounds from NA.... I did check FindMyPast to see if it twas there but nup......


as well I have seen Eunice E marry Lawrence J Smith at Wirral in 1948
and
Hazel married in Wirral to Allan M Jones 1956.....

cant do much more just in case the rest are still alive.....
