Gofenberg Family Russia / Lithuania

Searching for any information at all on my great grandparents Shlomo (or Shiloma) Gershon and Buna Leia Gofenberg, resided Ersvilkas / Kovno, Lithuania. Last record is money sent ( by their son Jacob Hoffenberg in New York) to Buna in December 1918, having returned from exile in Russia with her two daughters. Her husband may have died in the Army or in Russia during WW1.
At least two daughters and two sons emigrated to South Africa.
