Great Hallingbury - Any Connections and One-Place Study
« on: Friday 05 December 14 05:30 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I have some distant (both in time and space!) ancestors from Great Hallingbury (SAPSFORD). I've been researching these ancestors and as a result have developed an interest in the village. I'm undertaking a One-Place Study of Great Hallingbury.

Firstly, I would like to let people know about it and secondly, let people know that I'd love any information people might have about the village that they would be willing to share. As I'm in Australia, getting access to original records, photos and books is quite difficult and any assistance would be appreciated.

Thirdly, I'd also love to make contact with anyone researching any Great Hallingbury families.

Also, if anyone is a SAPSFORD, I'd especially love to make contact!!

Cheers,
Michelle (larenoz)

Hi Michelle,

My links to Great Hallingbury are also quite distant.

I would be interested in anything you find out about the following families - Bowtell, Day, Fish, Pilly and Pledger.

Kind Regards
Steve

Dear Steve,

Great to hear from you! Will let you know if I find anything. I remember at least two FISH marriages to SAPSFORDS. Can't recall the others off hand.

I'm also about to start adding the census's to the website, starting with 1841.

Cheers,
Michelle
