Sophie Magdalene RIED B;1846 Ohringen,Germany

Hello Chatters,

Wonder if anyone can assist me with Sophie.  I have copies of Ohringen church family records showing her marriage to Heinrich Christian Schoch B:1844 in Gleichen ( my GGgrandfather)  on the 29 Oct 1867.

However I am looking for an official marriage record cert.  but am having no luck.  I have obtained a 2nd marriage cert record for Heinrich in 1878, as his 1st wife Sophie died in 1877 from "consumption".

Hi Richard

I looked at your tree and saw that you have Andreas Heinrich Ried as Sophia Magdalena's father but no mother. As it's private couldn't check out if you have the following - sometimes helps to look for siblings' marriages etc.

Her mother shows up as Dorothea Friederika Sommer and if you try Family Search and put both parents in the search, you will find Johann Lorentz Heinrich Ried who married Marie Ungerer in 1870 and Marie Buchta in 1880.

BTW Ried is also spelled Riedt on one record.
