Is there any easy way to find them in Stockholm? I've had a look in the past at several parishes but couldn't see them.

There is really only 1 way to find them, and that it is to go through the books.

I guess I'd better renew my subscription with Arkivdigital then.
Thanks again, Ian.

Hi Darren

I have found a Frans Christoffer Springer born 28 June 1813 in St Nikolai, Stockholm. Parents Jacob Christoffer Springer and Anna Christina Wennergren.

One of the godparents was a Stadsmäklaren Springer.
The name of this Stadsmäklaren Springer could be Thomas as I found a death of a Sara Elizabeth Deijen maried to a Stadsmäklaren Thomas Springer.

Jacob Springer was a shoemaker.

Wow, thank you so much, Ian!
That Thomas Springer is the brother of Wolter, and the uncle of Jacob. Bit of a change in career for Jacob, isn't it?

Does it say how Sofia Charlotta Wennergren is connected?

It says that she is "Flickan" - girl.

Jacob changed career, yes.

Hi Darren

Try this, there are a lot of Springers here:

http://www.ssa.stockholm.se/Anvand-arkiven/Folkbokforing-och-mantalsskrivning/Register-till-mantalsbocker/Mantalsregister-1800-1884/

It is in Swedish but there is a translate button to press and many avenues to look in.
