Thanks, both, for this wealth of material. Enough to keep me occupied until next year!

The grandfather of William Bennallack(1836), who was born about 10 miles on Devon side of Cornish border, was a Cornish miner, so would probably have had connection with Cornish pioneers in Mexico.

Louisa Bennallack and Robert Henry Matthews on same page of register Sep Q 1881, Totnes.

Kellys Directory 1902 shows William Bennallack at Dashpers House, Higher Brixham.
