WW1 MEMORIAL FROM SHAVINGTON ROPE LANE PRIMITIVE CHAPEL???
« on: Sunday 21 December 14 11:29 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I have been researching all the Crewe and Nantwich WW1 memorials and have been unable to locate a small number. One was in my home village of Shavington and was in the Shavington Rope Lane Methodist Chapel which was closed in 1967 and demolished c1980. I am trying to find out the names recorded on it, believed to be around 20. Any help would be gratefully received. Mark

Is the congregation (at a newer location) still in existence or did the members all move to another church? If so it would be worth trying to make contact there.

A letter to a local newspaper might also get a response and local areas (historical society, community group, etc.) often have a facebook page.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
