Electoral Rolls are available online to 1980 in Victoria and I can see the couple Robert and Patricia Fraser SOUTER in 1931
In 1931 they were together at 94 Roslyn Rd Belmont. He was an aero( plane?) fitter.

Another female ,a clerk.
Patricia Fraser SOUTER is a machinist.
From then to 1980, Robert Burnett SOUTER appears at different addresses with an female who may be related, but the actual name Patricia Fraser SOUTER is not at the same address.
I think this is the cremation record for Gordon Bernar SOUTER who appears on the E Roll as Gordon Burnett SOUTER, but there is perhaps a typing error to Bernard. Not sure
