Census 1981 and 1991 - Population for Great Hallingbury?
« on: Tuesday 23 December 14 08:15 GMT (UK) »
I'm hoping someone can help me with some basic data from the 1981 and 1991 England Census?

I just need the population for Great Hallingbury, Essex in both those years. I've tried the ONS and NOMIS but can't find it on there.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Cheers,
Michelle

The Essex records office?

If you can get to the Biritsh Library at St Pancras they have the census statistics on the shelves there or you can order other items from Boston Spa

Unfortuneately, I'm located in Australia so in person visits aren't an option. Was hoping they would be online somewhere.

James Stott c1775-1850. James was born in Yorkshire but where? He was a stonemason and married Elizabeth Archer (nee Nicholson) in 1794 at Ripon. They lived thereafter in Masham. If anyone has any suggestions or leads as to his birthplace I would be interested to know. I have searched for it for years without success. Thank you.
