Hi, what a great photo!  It looks to me like Sedley Street.  There appears to be a John James Capstick, cowkeeper, living at 51 Sedley Street, Anfield on the "last" census.

Thanks, sounds like you are right Jools. The picture is larger than the one I posted, it shows the driver of the carriage as well as the young man, unfortunately the photo is too large to scan. I will try googling now I know his full name, thanks again, Tony,
