Chipping Norton newspaper lookup please

I realise the offer to lookup newspapers is very old but thought I'd take a chance.
My uncle was a WW2 despatch rider and he died in an accident on 1st December 1941 in Chipping Norton. I believe there was a drunk? Lorry driver involved possibly causing his bike to end up on a railway live rail. His name was James Smith from Croydon, he was 21 at the time.
If anyone could look in the papers for the week of the death I would be grateful. I have searched online papers without success. I do have his Comm War Grave certificate and a copy of the Roll of Honour and have visited his grave spam only looking for story if it exists. Many thanks.
