Who was your grandmother?

There is another, later, Yarde/Jerrett connection.   
Robert Jerrett 1815-1873 married Sarah Strong 1813-1893.   
Sarah was the daughter of Ann Yarde 1773-1852 and Samuel Strong 1773-1844.   
Ann was the daughter of Francis Yarde 1722-1775 and Joan Welch 1740-?.
Francis Yarde was the son of Gilbert Yarde -no dates.

You probably already have this.

Thanks for Isabella's birth/christening.   

It now makes more sense that Edwin and Sarah Jerrett adopted Alexander, if Alfred Moore came from South Wales.   By 1901, when Alexander appears on the census with them, they had moved to Cardiff and Pont-y-Pridd is on a main route into Cardiff.

I don't suppose there are adoption records for back then.

Yes I have the above and also I have parents of Francis as
Gilles Yarde 1709-1768 and Ann Cloverly 1712-1747

I have not yet researched Ann Yarde and the Strong/Jerrett connection.
