Winter family Oxfordshire

I am looking for details of Mary Winter's parents - Mary married William Shatswell on 15 October 1733 at Adderbury.   Any information would be appreciated.

Just had a look at Adderbury PR's and your Mary is the only WINTER in those PR's other than a Banns entry in 1852 for a William Winter.

So as a process of elimination she either was not baptised at all, it wasn't recorded or she was not born there or more probably was simply living / working there at the time of her marriage.

Not much but something to cross off your list of search areas?

Thank you NDRFT. I shall certainly keep these details on file.   Would you be able to give me the details of Wm Winter's banns i.e. whom he married etc.    I have Winter's from Tysoe in my family tree & the marriage for Mary Winter to Wm Shatswell (as above) is on the same index as the marriage for Samuel Satchell of Hempton, Oxf, on 26/12/1734 at Deddington to Martha Taylor.   I am grabbing at straws to try & find out where Samuel Satchell was born & died.  Martha Satchell (nee Taylor) died 7/3/1750 at Deddington & Samuel married a Mary Hands (I think nee Allen) on 7/10/1754 at Swalcliffe, Oxf.  Mary was buried 23/10/1762 at Deddington.  I have details of marriages, deaths etc BUT haven't as yet found a birth or death for Samuel Satchell.

This might help from the Oxfordshire Family History Society Marriage Index there are only FOUR marriages of male Shatswell's during 1538 - 1837

William @ Adderbury to Mary Winter on 15 Oct 1733

John of Enstone @ Woodstock to Anne Booden of Coombe on 4 Oct 1655

John of Glympton @ Woodstock to Avis Vicars of Glympton on 17 Dec 1656

You may no that the Hempton PR's are encompassed within those for Deddington?
Looking through those this morning they are very complex as the name you are researching has at least 2 variants in its spelling. To unpick those and understand who was who I would recommend that you consider purchasing  a copy of Oxfordshire Family History PR's CD OXF -WOD02 and then you will certainly be able to narrow down your search area and find many rellies

Once again many thanks for your replies NDRFT your help is much appreciated.    Many years ago I was given details of the Satchell & Satchwell family from the Deddington PR's & have accounted for most of my family. As mentioned before it is Samuel's details that elude me, especially his death.  Will keep up my search.
