There is a published tree which includes the Prescot lady so perhaps she has been accepted.  :)

Marriage certificate obtained to check on father's name, or other information for confirmation?

Which site for the tree, please?

I think it's Val's tree and she have received other info from that thread. It's on Ancestry.
I am sure Val will let us know, it seems from her remarks here, that she is trying to find a lady called Margaret really.

Val - have sent you a personal message re one Gwendoline from Prescot who married a Iorwerth Williams.

Note spelling of IORWERTH.

No good looking for a Iori as that name is a diminutive of Iorwerth.

Who is Margaret?

zetlander,

Read some of valerie1's other threads, if you have the time and inclination.

Poor Val has been trying to find her Margaret for many years. We've all had a go at trying to find her  :-\

Sorry, heywood  :'(   I tried many times.  William R Jones has tried for even longer than me but she just disappeared off to Patagonia (I think  :-\ )

My John Roberts, b.c. 1800, somewhere in Denbighshire or Merionethshire or possibly Shropshire might be in the same place as Margaret for all I know or can find.

 ;D

I think Val's doing what I usually do when I have brick walls - look sideways.
