Any idea when Derry Lindsay was born
There is a marriage in 1935 of a Maureen Brennan and John Lindsay.
Her father is John Brennan Civil Servant and she is a minor.
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1935/08944/5237411.pdf

A newspaper put his age as 74 in 2016 so born about 1941 so the above marriage is a possible.

A witness to that marriage was Elizabeth Brennan

Birth Dublin South 1941 April-June

It's my typo, meant to type 82. Not sure if the Glasnevin death is my Elizabeth Brennan as that death does not come up if I key in the address keywords (Abbeyfield/Killester) from the obituary.
And the site is not very clear on the prices/vouchers you need to see more information. Found a page where it said prices were to be found on the Flowers page, but nothing found.

And my other error - a biggie unfortunately - is saying she died in August 1995. Totally wrong as the obituary appeared early February 1995 in various papers. Could death have been the previous year?

Just not my day all round.
Sorry,
John

For the  former writer I have now found this obituary in a 1995 newspaper:
"DEATH OF AUTHORESS AN authoress with New Ross connections has died in Dublin.
The authoress was cousin of Nancy Bailey, South Street, New Ross"

Marriage of Annie Bailey of South Street New Ross, 1933 - Father John

Her death notice is in the Irish Independent of Feb 3 1995
She died the 2 Feb
buried in Glasnevin on the 4th.
3 sisters were still living.

Rosevale Court and late of Abbeyfield

Would Rosevale Court be Dublin 5 of the 82 year old Elizabeth on Glasnevin Trust.

This looks like Annie Bailey’s birth - mother La Touche so no clues there

Bailey/La Touche marriage

These are possibly wrong (probably really).
There is mention in a newspaper snippet of the death of Nancy Bailey, South Street New Ross - 2005
Other mentions imply her husband was Dick Bailey.

Elizabeth Brennan still registers when adding Rosevale Court into address box on Glasnevin
think its in Raheny
https://www.yelp.ie/biz/senior-citizens-flats-dublin-21

details on cost of Glasnevin
3 Euro for a standard search, just the one individual buried
8 Euro for full grave readout everyone in grave
2 Euro for book image

The book image can be where available as good as a death cert as it usually gives cause of death and name of person responsible for burial

before Glasnevin Trust had their books digitised  circa 2011 i found a death for 1997 of a relative who was on the 1911 census as a child, as the books were'nt available they could only give me the name of the undertaker who was Nicholl's of Lombard St,so i went to Nicholl's and got the name and address of a married sister who was responsible for the burial.

An obituary in the New Ross Standard 16/3/2005 gives quite a lot of detail about the life of Nancy Bailey, but the only bit of information relevant here was that she was 69, i.e. born c1934/1935.

In the same paper 23/6/1961 is the notice of the marriage of a Richard Bailey to a Nancy Power, daughter of Mrs E and the late Joseph Power of New Ross.

If this is Nancy Bailey, could her parents be the Joseph Power and Ellen Teresa Brennan, daughter of Patrick Brennan, married in New Ross in June 1930.

Here the trail runs cold for me. She is full age on the registration and the only birth suspect was born to a Patrick Brennan in Sligo in 1899. But that Patrick died in 1922 and Ellen Teresa's father signed the marriage registration.
When I have taken a breather will check for Ellen Brennans born Wexford c1890-1910 whose father was Patrick. But, of course, nothing to say she was born in New Ross or Wexford.
