Are there any records/maps of where all the coal mines in England in the early 1800's were located?  As yet I only have a name - James Crumbie - appearing as the father of the groom (George Crumbie) on a marriage certificate.  The marriage was in 1844 by which time James may already have died.  George was born in 1813 & I am in the process of tracing his place of birth which may of course help.  Jame's profession was collier.  From other links I think he may have originated from the Doncaster area.  Any pointers gratefully received.
Crumbie (Crumby/Crombie/Cromie) - Wilts, London, Northumberland, Fife
Stark & Cammann - Middxnt
Davenport, Bromley - Wilts, Glous
Traynor - Ireland, Hull, Kent
Taylor - Kent
Blaskiewicz / Blaszkiewicz - Radom, Poland
Drews - Gdansk (Danzig), Poland

Try the Durham mining museum site or the Haig Mining Museum site

It'll also give lots of details of disasters especially in Cumbria (Haig) as well as other info
