Missing marriage
« on: Wednesday 28 January 15 15:10 GMT (UK) »
Hi
Looking for a marriage please if anyone can help

I have posted this in the common room due to little information and the possibility of a number of counties being a possibility for the marriage ( Lincolnshire / Northamptonshire )

looking for a marriage between

James Everitt/Everett born 1794c in Braceby, Lincolnshire, England and
Charlotte Unknown born 1801c in Stoke Doyle, Northamptonshire, England

Given the date of the eldest child  marriage should be around 1821c -/+

They had 9 children I'm aware of

Elizabeth Everitt born 1822 and died 1822 in Dowsby Lincolnshire
Charlotte Susan Everitt 1823 Dowsby Lincolnshire
Elizabeth Sarah Everitt 1823 Dowsby Lincolnshire
William Smith Everitt 1825 Oundle, Northampton, England
Christopher Thomas Everitt 1830 Islington, Middlesex, England
Mary Harriet Everitt 1832 Poole, Dorset, England
Georgiana Addaliza Everitt 1836 Worcester, Worcestershire, England
Rebecca Thornton /Thompson Everitt 1839 Shipston On Stour, Worcestershire, England
Sophia Christiana Everitt 1839 in Worcester, Worcestershire, England

I have all census except the 1851 census for James Everitt ( Father) his wife was on her own with the children in Oundle on this census.

Any help much appreciated

Judi

I can't see a marriage, but there is a baptism at Stoke Doyle on 6 November 1795 of Charlotte Smith d/o William and Mary.

Although Charlotte gives her age as 50 in 1851, it is 65 in 1861, which would tally with a birth in 1795.
Also it is encouraging that the child to whom James and Charlotte give the middle name Smith has the first name William.

Hi

Many thanks for that , I will follow up on that family line and see what shows up.  Like you I had been thinking that either Smith or Thornton/Thomason could come into play somewhere in her family line.

I was thinking that the surname  Smith or   Thomson .Tomson/Thornton     may  have some bearing too ,  as I note  Sophias ' twin Rebekah  has the Thomson  as  middle  name ,     and brother William has Smith  as  middle name
