certainly looks like my family, I can't find Thomas or Hannah on 1841 census all I know is they married Oct 1814 @ St Mary's, Handsworth, Staffordshire. I have tried freereg for the marriage but no luck, I was hoping to confirm Thomas's parents names. I have found a Thomas Bickley christened 1797 parents John & Ann but not sure if this is my Thomas.

If that Thomas in 1841 is correct age 60 implies birth in about 1791 or, in case rounded, after about 1785.

I could find only 3 baptisms that seemed at all likely.

Thomas Bickley 21 May 1785 Walsall.  But would be 65 in 1841?  Not found in 1841 / 1851 census.

Thomas Bickley 16 Oct 1791 Hordley, Shropshire.  In 1851 he appears to have been at Burlton, Shropshire.

Now the most likely.  Thomas Beckley 21 Sep 1788 Brierley Hill St Michael to Benjamin and Sylvia.

Benjamin Beckley married Sylvia Pargiter 18 Oct 1784 Kingswinford.

So looks like we can be pretty sure that Thos Bickley c 1791 in Salop St, Dudley is the Father of Thomas 1821 who marries Ann Weaver.

That only leaves who is the Eliza c 1824 who is there also.
She does not appear to be the Daughter of Thomas/Hannah.


Could she be his Neice Baptised 28 March 1823 Pelsall to CHARLES/MARY
And therefore Charles is The Brother of Thomas

All info I ave posted on Baptisms/Marriages is on FreeREG.  Now there is another possible Sibling for Thomas;

Looks good as a Thomas BICKLEY was a Witness to the Marriage of William BURKEN to Elizabeth BICKLEY 20 March 1820 Rushall. Also a Ann YATES was a Witness.

Need to look back over other Marriages I am sure I saw Ann Yates elsewhere as a Witness?

Anyhow of Charles/Elizabeth/Thomas are Siblings at this stage I cant find Parents for them.

1851 Elizabeth BERKIN is born c 1797 Rushall

Elijah 1824 (mother Ann Parker, but surely same)
Sally 1827
So, all brothers and sisters.
Baptism Eliz 1823 therefore too early.
But 1841 at Pelsall Charles Beckley 45 with Mary 45 Elizah 15 -if rounded down could be 1823.  Wouldn't be first time for same person in two places, but still unlikely.
Baptism Charles Bickley 25 Nov 1792 Pelsall to Joseph and Elizabeth implies not brother of Thomas snr. either.
