Thank you, thank you keyboard,  I have been trying to understand what is going on with Trevor and Benjamin all afternoon! Now I have got my head around the transcription errors!!! The census exercise was well worth it!  Trevor T R Barlow was married to Ann Bryning 1877, 8b 488.  England and Wales Marriages 1538-1940 give names (Ann Worthington) and Father Charles Worthington which would imply a previous Marriage for Ann.

The 1881 Census - 3704.22,38 Lists two step son's Robt. W Bryning 10 and Thos. M Bryning 8.  I take it Ann maiden name is Worthington? but I cannot find a birth c1857 - help please.

Have not managed to digest Georgina yet. A novice - it shows!!

Mike.

:) Remember transcribed ages could be wrong as well, try RG10/3803/37/68 the 1881 you show has Ann aged 30 eg b c 1851?

PS if that tree is not yours, you will have a field day with the Cumberland lot!

Hi again Mike, now the only problem for me at least is where/what happened to Matilda from that 1851 census, she was born 11th March 1833 and baptised on the same day as Georgina 13th July 1838 Father James occ Iron Master Mother Sarah residing Wrexham

A lot for you to digest above, it is Matilda that is now my puzzle, and the birth of Ann/e Dorothy Barlow c 1832?

:D You are doing well for a rookie!

I have amended by glaringly obvious supposition, but Ann was Bryning Nee Worthington?

This article from the Aberystwyth Observer of Feb 1867 refers to George Cumberland performing in a public event with Mrs Robert Barlow
