***Completed expertly***Can my Jessie be stabilised?

Hi Everyone,
Tom1 helped date this photo of my great great grandmother to the mid 1870s. I want to include her image in my little write up of the family but Jessie gets even worse when I shrink her.  This is a scan of a photocopy of the only known photo of her. I'm not sure if she needs attention or I need some way of reducing the image so it doesn't look like she has lines running through her face. Please let me know if I need to rescan before anyone attempts to do anything. I'm aiming for her to take up about a quarter of an A4 page.

Pat, that is PERFECT - she is now nicely placed on the page with no lines running through her. That frock is something is it not - she is one woman I would liked to have met. Think I'll make this my avatar

Thanks Gadget these are both SO much better than the original - I'm amazed given this is a photocopy of a photo that I've then scanned! Back to the writing  much rather be looking for folks rather than writing about them
