Hi Annie, the Steeles of my family tree originate from Cumberland. The later generations lived around Fletchertown in All Hallows.

Several branches moved to Durham and Northumberland

The earlier generations came from Stapleton, with some branches living in Bewcastle and Kirklinton. My family lived in Stapleton before moving to Crosby Upon Eden, before then settling in Fletchertown.

Border Crossing Canada to USA - Audrey Beryl Steele - Born 2 November 1920 Nanaimo British Columbia  and aged 32 years. Resident Lakeside Service, RR1,  Wellington British Columbia. Arrival Port :- Blaine, Washington. 23 November 1952. Accompanied by husband Edward and son G.E born 28 June 1949.  Destination :- 4821 N Girard Street, Portland, Oregon.

Informant was husband Edward Steele.

Richard Connell Dagg died 25 May 1959 (Audrey Steele was the informant)

Beatrice Charlotte Dagg died 4 December 1979 - Audrey Steele was the informant.
Beatrice was living at 3760 Norwell Drive BC.
