PASS marriage - James to Hannah c1850?
« on: Friday 13 February 15 14:33 GMT (UK) »
I've spent some time searching without success for a marriage of a Hannah, surname not known, to James Pass b 1831 Congleton.
I think I've got him in Macclesfield area in 1851 census, and with parents in 1841, but between 1851 and 1861 he marries and starts a l-o-n-g family with Hannah. I've hunted in Ancestry for a Cheshire marriage for him to Hannah, but without success so far.
As Hannah in later censuses states simply Staffordshire, Elkstone Cheshire, and Leek in Staffordshire as her birthplaces (?) I'm not even sure if the marriage was in Cheshire, but it is starting to frustrate me, and I'd dearly like a little guidance about where to look to try and find it.
Any ideas welcome.... please.

Also interested in Leigh& Burrows,(Lancashire) Griffiths (Shropshire & lancs), Leaver (Lancs/Yorks) & Anderson(Cumberland and very elusive)

Thank you all - I'll follow that up asap. The only one I'd found via BMD was a Hannah Beech, and that didn't check out. Thank you, genechaser, BumbleB, garstonite, and KGarrad, you are all very helpful and kind.
