Sorry, I don't follow. Surely if they went to Canada in 1891, this could be them in 1881?

Wilks, Israel  Son  M  11 months  b Middlesbrough
emigrated to canada 1891 they were in the 1881 census This is not the same wilks as you can see the father is not WILLIAM WILKS MOULDER

OK, I get it now. The Poland family emigrated to Canada, not yours. Your Annie was still here as she married in 1895.

Maybe she was born before her parents marriage and her birth is registered under her mums maiden name? (not that I am seeing any Annie May births with any surname in Middlesbrough in 1877 . . . )

Just a thought - There was a William Wilks who died in Middlebrough age 45 in 1880 Dec Qtr   9d 401

In 1871 there was a William Wilks who was a moulder living in York - wife and children born there.  Probably wrong - but at the moment I can't see the family in 1881
