I don't suppose anyone here knows of a Charles Henry Cross?  born aprox.  1894.  I know it's a quite recent date, but i can't find anything further back from that, all I have is a marriage certificate.  From what I can still gather on the certificate, Charles Henry Cross' fathers name was David.

My Charles Henry Cross was married in Sowerby to a lady named Eliza Lofthouse, whose family had been in Sowerby for quite sometime.

From what my grandfather says, Charles was from the essex area.  He has also mentioned Wakefield.

Any clues?

Claire
Lofthouse, Cross, Pine and Hull.  All around the Yorkshire area.

Clairec,
lots of Cross's in Essex, apparently not all related...not that I'm able to sort them all out...have you checked the 1891 for David?

Hollylianne,
I have several Wm Cross's, most with wives but a few without-unfortunately those without are born mid to late 1800's. more data will be needed...perhaps yet another generation back.
