Flannigan and Lundie - cannot find marriage

Hello new to site so apologies if posted in wrong place but have a question we cannot find the answer to and its driving us mad.
Trying to find the marriage of John Flannigan and Mary Lundie date: 4th August 1898 place: Aberfeldy
It is not showing on marriage registers and the National Records of Scotland cannot trace it so wondering if anyone has ideas.  The date and place is shown on the children's birth certificate - the same each time but no trace of it registered.
Any leads would be gratefully followed.  :)

Have you tried variations on the spellings of their names?
Crawford
Taylor
Hurstwaite
Hayles
Dunlop
Neil - Cork, Ireland

Do you have them on the 1891 and 1901 censuses?  Have you checked for prior marriages for either of them?
