Sorry about that.  Unfortunately, I don't have too many dates for this group. What I do know is MARGARET (PEGGY) McKIERNAN DORRIS was born about 1895,  daughter of CHARLES McKIERNAN and MARY McALLISTER, of Turnaroan, just outside of Ballycastle, Co. Antrim.  I do not have any information as to whether she married in Ireland or in the US, or when she came to the US.  Her daughter, MAUREEN DORRIS KAMINISKI, was born around 1929, in NJ.  The son, JOSEPH DORRIS, JR. was born a few years later. I have no date of his birth.  It was my understanding  JOSEPH DORRIS, SR. died young, and apparently, not too long after his son was born, or perhaps before his wife gave birth to their son. I know, JOSEPH DORRIS SR., had a brother, PATRICK DORRIS, who never married. I believe PATRICK may have come to the US around the same as his brother as when JOSEPH SR. died, PATRICK continued to live in the same house with his sister-in-law, MARGARET (PEGGY). I believe he probably helped her raise the two children.  My earliest recollection of my Aunt PEGGY, was she was a widow. And that was back around 1950, when I was six years old.  My purpose in posting was to help their grandchildren if they came looking for genealogical information on this side of their family. I have more extensive information on the McKERNAN/McKIERNAN branch.

Hiya rosewood,

Dorris was not a common surname in Ireland at the time of Griffith's Valuation.  There were only two,
both in counties in the north. The dates in brackets show when the Valuation took place in the county.

Patrick Dorris, Drummullan, Arboe, Derry (1858-9)
John Dorris, Dunluce Street, Larne, Antrim (1861-2)

Hiya Elaine,
Do you have an approximate date please ???

McCorkindale doesn't appear in Griffith's Valuation 1848-64.

Hiya Elaine,
Martha and Duncan married in Greenock I take it ... what about Ann and James ???

McCloskey is listed in the Co. Derry and Co. Donegal Valuations.

Quite a number of people from those counties headed towards Scotland.
