Broken Hayes

     Can anyone help me, please? I live miles away from Oxford, now, but most of my ancestors were Oxford born and bred.
      On a marriage certificate, dated 23rd August 1858, the residence at the time of marriage is shown as "Broken Hayes". The wedding actually took place in the parish of St. Peter le Bailey, Oxford, so I assume Broken Hayes must have been near there: however, I've never heard of it before and none of my family can help.
      I'm sure someone out ther knows! Please put me out of my misery!!!

According to several sites found while googling, Broken Hayes field is now known as Gloucester Green and there is/ was a bus station there.

   Brilliant! Thank you. So I now know where it was...Gloucester Green bus station has seen quite a few changes in my lifetime, but I hadn't realised it was once a residential area. I must get hold of a 19th century street map of Oxford; it's really interesting being able to pin my ancestors down - they were mostly boatpeople and spent their lives working the canals.
